Tim Tebow Foundation, Make-A-Wish and Magnolia Home partnered together to make a 100% handicap accessible home for the Copp Family.

I am a Chip and Jo fan, I love that they brought their aesthetic and design mainstream but I am (don’t shoot me) tired of “farmhouse chic” and “modern farmhouse”. It's totally doable and accessible but it's been way overdone. That being said- Chip Gaines and Magnolia Home started a fund to PAY OFF the Copp Family mortgage after this episode. Do you know what a blessing that is? Having one less payment, less worry and debt, so you can focus on your family and their health has to be such a relief. The Gaines’ have always been very charitable but this one spoke to my financial and emotional side. It was beautiful, and I actually cried watching the reveal.

One of my New Year’s Resolutions was to eat less animal products. (I’m doing terribly actually, but it's the effort that counts right??) What it translates to in my real life is a lot more carbohydrates. This pasta is made from Chickpeas so it has more protein and doesn’t make me feel weighed down like a giant bowl of regular pasta would. Right after cooking, it tastes like chickpeas (not my favorite flavor), but somehow when you add sauce, it tastes just like regular pasta. I have no idea how. But, I have tried it with tomato sauce and pesto and it was delicious both ways. The toddler ate it too which is always a plus. We will definitely be adding this one to our grocery list again. Buy it here.

DESIGN LOVE FEST'S LINE @ TARGET

I follow Bri Emery, (like most people, I assume, because she’s great) owner of Design Love Fest, on Instagram. (@designlovefest) So when I heard she was collaborating with Target and Cloth and Company, I was SO excited. The line is better than expected. There are benches, chairs, sectionals and even larger pieces like platform beds. Everything comes in several fun pattern options. The cactus print is a favorite of mine but I can’t help but think it would look totally out of place in my midwestern home. The prints are bright and very on-trend (millennial pink anyone??).

I already ordered the bench pictured here, and I will post pictures when we get furniture moved in. I am trying really hard to find a place for this loveseat because I love it so much.

Tag #aketphome if you have ordered any of these pieces so I can see how you styled them. Check out the full collection here.

After: our curtain actually fits the space

If you follow me on Instagram, you know I love Young, House, Love. Their designs are affordable and totally doable for novice DIYers. This week they mentioned where to buy extra tall shower curtains and I immediately went to the link and ordered. They are from Bed, Bath and Beyond and are EVERYTHING. The ones they suggested are these, but I also love these and these.

For so many years I just walked the Target isle and threw whatever shower curtain caught my eye into the cart. As soon as they mentioned Extra Tall shower curtain, I knew that was what my bathrooms needed.

Check out the before and after. Notice how it gets rid of that awkward space between the rod and the ceiling? It looks cleaner, emphasizes the high ceilings and helps give my currently sad bathroom a more glam and luxurious look.
