Mirrors, Switches & Night Lights

It was a tough week for us, we had a lot of setbacks getting into the house. Read more about the challenges here. But I still managed to find a few bright spots–

GLAM MIRRORS FOR A STEAL

Absolutely loving the feel of our bathroom with a fresh coat of paint & the new mirrors.

The bathrooms are never a priority update room for me, but I do like to at least make them feel like our own with small fixes until we can completely renovate. The original mirrors in this bathroom didn’t match the fixtures or the cabinet, and they were totally the wrong size. (See the before picture below.)

Initially, I was not feeling all the chrome fixtures in the bathroom either. They felt cheap, dated and out of place. Then I found these mirrors at HomeGoods and boy, did they change my mind. Somehow our old, dated bathroom became a glam spot I actually look forward to using. These mirrors were the perfect size and such a steal, at just $29.99 each. As corny as it is, I love a good HomeGoods find.

MOD SWITCHES

Another small update that makes the house feel so much more modern and clean is the light switches. My husband changed them in our last house and it was the perfect finishing touch. We love these from Amazon, they are SUPER affordable, come in bulk, and just as good of quality as buying them individually. The light switches didn’t match, some were off white, some cream or almond and lots of them were crooked. Since we couldn’t do too much while the ceilings were being repaired in the house, this was a good small project that we could work on as we went.

MARQUEE "M" NIGHT LIGHT

I found this marquee “M” night light at Target. The built in shelves in Marin’s room don’t have a nearby outlet so I was looking for a battery-powered night light solution that wasn’t too bright. This light is adorable, fits the space and has a 4 hour timer, perfect for setting when the sun goes and reading before bedtime. Plus it's super cute. (And less than $10!) Find your letter here.
